A popular doctor with a three-year waiting list of patients tells you how to cure your illnesses using your own body’s strength.

Description

Misguided lifestyle habits and overloaded working lives, problems with people in our families and others around us–illnesses are nothing but a call for help from our bodies and minds when these sources of stress become too much to bear. From minor illnesses such as colds to adult-onset diseases such as high blood pressure and diabetes, and even more serious illnesses such as cancer, the fundamental causes of illness lie in your lifestyle and mind. In other words, it’s not the doctor who must find the real cause of the disease and treat it–it’s you, yourself.

This book explains how to get help from the powers within–mental outlook, the power of self-medication, chi (life energy), heat, and spiritual purification–and gives hints for treating illness yourself.

Find out how to deal effectively with your illness and take steps to living a happy life from a doctor with a three-year waiting list of patients.

From the editor

“Of all the books I’ve written, this is the one most filled with the things I really want to say.” These were Dr. Kawashima’s words when we were discussing his manuscript. This was the first time I had worked on a health-related book, and it’s one I really learned a lot from.

I have never been seriously ill, but I think that as Dr. Kawashima tells us, we should take care of our bodies, and I hope that we will be able give proper attention to our bodies and lifestyles. For starters, I’m going to go to bed early from now on.
