Cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, depression...all diseases can be prevented through proper sleep!

Description

Surprisingly, few people know that lack of proper sleep can lead to cancer, stroke, heart disease, diabetes, obesity, depression and a myriad of other diseases that could result in death. That said, oversleeping isn’t good for the body either, and the mortality rate of people who oversleep can be up to 40 percent higher than for people who don’t oversleep.
Despite being aware of its close relation to health, contemporary society continues to downplay sleep. There are numerous health tips circulating around the world, but they will not produce the expected results if sleep is neglected. In other words, sufficient sleep is the foundation of good health, and it is the simplest health tip there is.

In an easy to understand way and with reference to the latest medical research and several examples of patients, this book explains the importance of sleep, why too little or too much sleep is bad for the body and how to improve sleeping habits.

From the editor

“You were up between 2 and 4 in the morning, weren’t you?” That’s what the author asked me when I went to do an interview about this book. I was surprised because I was in fact awake during that time. If you are conversant with the science of sleep and know what time a person went to sleep, you can figure out what time they will wake up or when they are deep asleep. Even during research for this book, the author said time and time again, “If this information is put in a book, readers will be able to know when people are in their deepest sleep, and that information might be used for crime.” That’s how regular human sleep patterns are, and they are governed by specific mechanisms.
When you read the book, don’t use the information to commit crimes, but rather use it to improve your health!
